Intensive English and Summer English Language Institute Improve your English language skills for academic or professional purposes.
In the Intensive English Program, we provide
quality instruction in English to adults who wish to improve
their proficiency in English. We offer full-time 15-week
programs in the fall and spring semesters and an 8-week
program in the summer.
After you arrive, you will be given a placement exam to
determine your appropriate academic level. Class size is
limited to 12 students. Classes meet in in a variety of
buildings across campus in regular classrooms, smart classrooms
(rooms with Internet access and audiovisual equipment) and
language labs.

STAFF:
The ESL staff consists of nine full-time professional instructors
plus a number of graduate assistants with a specialty in ESL
teaching. Our staff has taught in places such as Korea, Japan,
China, Turkey, Morocco, Austria, Poland, Ecuador, Argentina
and Nepal. |

The internationally famous University of Wisconsin, established
in 1848, is a major research university with more than 40,000
students. The international student population numbers around

The CITY
Madison is a city of lakes and summer pleasures. Concerts,
